Frameless glass fencing was the answer in St Ives

This major backyard landscaping renovation presented a real challenge but together with the client, here at Gateway Fencing we were able to consider all the options and then, after taking into account all the limitations with the site along with the client's requirements and brief, recommend the perfect solution.

The brief called for a complete renovation of all aspects of the back yard. The pool surrounds were to be wrapped in a beautiful new timber deck, new borders and landscaping laid, and of course new custom pool fencing from Gateway designed and installed. The greatest challenge we faced was how to deal with the not insignificant slope.

Undeterred, we set about ripping up all the old tired and worn-out paving that dominated the yard. Major walls were then constructed and most of the existing timber decking renovated. The pool itself was also renovated giving it a lovely "as new" sparkle.

To disguise the slope and soften the steep angles as the glass fence "stepped" down, we recommended the client install frameless glass pool fencing. With no vertical lines and invisible borders, the differences in height between some panels was unnoticeable with the fencing blended and integrated into the landscaping perfectly with no obtrusive or unsightly lines interrupting the harmony of the new pool surrounds.
